ONLINE CERTIFICATION OF SPORTS NUTRITIONISTS
Association of Sports, Nutrition and Fitness Sciences was formed in the year 2017 and is registered in 2018. Eminent sports nutritionists, sports physiologists, sports psychologists, coaches and fitness experts possessing valuable expertise in the respective fields from across India are the core committee members of the association.
The primary aim of the association is to provide a holistic platform to all the areas related to sports sciences including sports nutrition, sports physiology, sports psychology, and sports medicine and thereby to develop scientific strategies that would enable sports persons to achieve their maximum potential in sports.
One of the objectives of the ASNFS is to certify sports nutritionists for professional practice. Towards this, ASNFS will be organizing 2 levels of online certification examinations pan-India.
Level 1- Silver Certification
Eligibility Criteria*:

- Degree certificate of qualifying Nutrition course (or Confirmation Letter from Principal/Head of Department of your current status)
- Scanned copy of:
- Internship letter (including the confirmation of case studies duly signed by the authorised in charge of internship). Detailed case study reports would be verified by the association as & when required.
- OR
- Work Experience letter from employer. If required, the association may ask for additional details for verification

Level – 1 Silver Certification Exam details:
- Online Exam with Multiple-choice questions
- Duration: 2 hours
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Passing marks: 75%
- Certificate Validity: Three years (from the date of issue)
- Fees: Rs. 2500/-

Level 2 – Gold Certification
Candidates fulfilling the criteria of Category A OR Category B given below can apply.
Category – A

(which must be valid at the time of registration for the certification examination i.e. within 3 years from the date of issue of Silver certificate):Note: If the 3-year validity of the Silver certificate has lapsed, the candidate will be required to appear and pass the Level-1 Silver certification exam again to be eligible to appear for Level-2 Gold certification.
2 Six-months Internship pursued in any one of the following: - Sports Federation
- Fitness Centre
- Under the supervision of an experienced Sports Nutrition Consultant
During 6-months internship:
- Minimum 10 case studies on athletes/ fitness enthusiasts should have been completed.
3 Life membership of ASNFS Documents to be scanned & submitted:
- ASNFS Level-1 Silver certificate of completion (which must be valid at the time of registration for certification examinatione. within 3 years from the date of issue of Silver certificate)
- Scanned copy of Internship letter (including the confirmation of case studies duly signed by the authorised in charge of internship). Detailed case study reports would be verified by the association as & when required.

Category – B

Relevant proof of professional experience (e.g. website details) will need to be submitted.
2 Life membership of ASNFS Documents to be scanned & submitted:
- Updated CV with details of relevant professional experience (including references and contact information) and website address
- Visiting card and other supporting documents if any e.g. brochure of organisation
If required, the association may ask for additional details for verification

Level-2 Gold Certification Exam details:

- Maximum Marks: 100
- Passing marks: 75%
- Certificate Validity: Three years (from the date of issue)
- Fees: Rs. 5000/-
